Five generations of winemaking tradition
Since 1870, over five generations, the family has been dedicated to the cultivation of vines and the production and ageing of the best Rioja wines. Keeping knowledge and tradition alive, it has been passed down from father to son, always adapting them to technological advances and respect for the land and the vine.
Among its most prestigious vineyards is La Veguilla, 10 hectares with an abundance of boulders, planted with Tempranillo and a small proportion of Viura and Malvasia. After a conscientious selection of its vines, which naturally produce only 2 or 3 clusters, a traditional harvest and meticulous ageing, the prestigious Amancio is obtained.
The viticulture, traditional, is based on the culture of their ancestors and is respectful with the environment, but updated and improved with current techniques. This is distinguished by a total absence of insecticides and herbicides, the use of copper and sulphur and organic fertilisation, which makes the presence of the autochthonous flora and fauna in the vineyards commonplace.
