Top-quality wines committed to research
In the 1960s, winegrower José Pariente began producing handcrafted white wines with a raw material of extraordinary quality: the Verdejo grape from the vineyards of Rueda. He practised meticulous viticulture and believed in the land, in quality and in the pleasure of making wine. The desire to make great white wines is the aim of the current winery, which his daughter Victoria Pariente founded in 1998.
Twenty years later, Bodegas José Pariente maintains a very clear roadmap: innovation and avant-garde, respect for the vineyard and its meticulous care, and a firm commitment to research and development.
The winery is located at the top of a typical Castilian moor, in the very heart of the Rueda D.O. and close to the vineyards, from which a wide horizon of fields can be seen. This situation favours quick access to the grapes during the harvest, thus avoiding possible oxidation.
Since 2015, the winery has initiated several R&D studies, both in viticulture and winemaking methods. It has developed an integrated vineyard management system that allows a better use of its natural resources. All this in a scenario of organic viticulture and with the aim of improving the qualitative expression of the harvest, improving the oenological potential of its wines.
