The Martínez Bujanda family, winemakers in La Rioja, is the owner of this winery in La Mancha. A business vision to diversify and a love affair with this estate with its peculiar characteristics of altitude (900 metres) and extreme climate, led them to found this wonderful winery in 2006.
Finca Antigua is located within an extension of land of just over 100 hectares, of which 426 hectares are dedicated to vineyards. The rest of the estate is made up of scrubland, made up of holm oaks, kermes oaks... which helps to create an ecosystem so that the vineyard is healthier in a more natural way.
The use of more traditional varieties such as Tempranillo and Viura, together with the commitment to international varieties, as in the range of single varietal crianzas, in which we find varietal wines of Merlot, Syrah or Petit Verdot among others.
The wines produced by Finca Antigua are wines with a very characteristic typicity, elegant and with a very delicate integration of wood. The know-how of generations of this Riojan family translated into this spectacular La Mancha environment.
