Selection of prestigious vineyards
This winery was founded in 1957 by Marcos Eguren. This winery has a rigorous selection of vineyards located in a privileged area of Castilla-La Mancha, close to 700 metres above sea level, aged between 30-70 years old and with a controlled production.
This area is characterised by a continental climate, with Mediterranean influences from the Levante winds, cold winters and hot, dry summers with high levels of luminosity.
The vineyards have a clayey soil with a calcareous base, poor in organic matter and capable of retaining the water of the first phases of the vegetative cycle before the arrival of the dry summer months.
The varieties harvested are Tempranillo or its synonym Cencibel, Bobal, Aíren and Macabeo, perfectly acclimatised to this wine-growing area. The grapes are harvested by hand from the end of September, always under the supervision and quality standards set by the Eguren family.
