Great wines from Ribera del Duero

As a result of the restless character of the winemaker Juan Luis Cañas, Dominio de Cair was born, a new challenge that can be summed up in one goal: to make great wines in an exceptional land, the Ribera del Duero. A project born from the passion for the vineyard and that culminates with the creation of this winery.

A land, Ribera del Duero, that Juan Luis travelled through many times until he found his dream vineyards. Old vines, some of them over a hundred years old. Old vines, few in production, but with a generous character to give the best of themselves in each cluster.

This winery has always believed that to create a great wine you need a great land. This was the basis for the creation of Bodegas Dominio de Cair in 2008. A modern winery, with avant-garde architecture, in which nothing is the result of chance, everything in it is designed for what really matters, optimal conditions to create wines of exceptional quality.

This winery has approximately 120 hectares between its own and controlled vineyards, an altitude of between 820 and 950 metres above sea level, and clayey-calcareous, sandy and gravelly soils. The vineyards are meticulously controlled throughout their entire cycle in order to leave only the best clusters on the vine.
