Cynar

Cynar is an Italian aperitif made according to a secret formula that includes artichokes (Cynara scolymus) and 13 different herbs. Its name derives from the Latin name for artichoke. It is brown in colour with reddish highlights, has an intense aroma and a bitter taste with a sweet finish. It has an alcohol content of 16,5 %.

Cynar was created in 1952 by the Italian company Pezziol and since 1995 has been manufactured and distributed by the Campari Group.
