A winery with a signature
Founded in 1647, this winery is one of the most historic dynasties in Spain. Eleven generations have passed on the baton of the winemaking tradition. During this time, the Chivite house has grown, has adapted to the new demands of the market and the consumer and has created a brand that today is synonymous with maturity, elegance and know-how.
The Chivite winery made a strong commitment to rosé. In 1975 it launched the Gran Feudo brand for the first time on the market, which is currently the winery's leading range and probably the most famous rosé in Spain. Compared to reds and whites, the Chivite family has been able to give its noble qualities to rosé.
In 2002, Chivite inaugurated its new winery, designed by the prestigious Navarrese architect Rafael Moneo. A modern, landscaped building that embraces the old buildings of the winery and blends perfectly into the landscape.
The Chivite family currently owns 120 hectares of vineyards and exports its wines to more than 50 countries on five continents. It is also present in other designations of origin such as Señorío de Arinzano (D.O. Pago), Viña Salceda (D.O. Rioja) and Baluarte (D.O. Rueda).
