The history of Cacique rum dates back to 1959 in Venezuela. It was given that name because Cacique, the chief of the tribe, was the one who distributed the rum among the others. Cacique is a premium dark rum from Venezuela, a blend of several types of rum (up to 47 types), distilled three times, and aged for two years in white oak barrels.
