A legendary wine
Bodegas Borsao was founded as a co-operative in 1958 and has been the result of the union of the three most important co-operatives of the Campo de Borja D.O. since 2001.
Bodegas Borsao is located in the northwest of the province of Zaragoza, covering 2,430 hectares, more than 70% of which is Garnacha, the predominant variety in the area.
The climate and soil of this area have special characteristics to produce a Garnacha wine of unique quality.
The winemaking process is carried out according to a specific harvesting calendar based on the optimum ripening point.
Strict and rigorous controls during maceration transform the musts into quality wines.
The crianza and reserva wines are formed in the winery's 1,200 Bordeaux barrels of American and French oak. These wines then mature in the bottle for 16 months in the case of the Crianza and 20 months in the case of the Reserva, before being marketed.
