The Original Grenache
Bodem Bodegas is a Dutch family business with a passion for the world of wine. Bodem is committed to the quality of its wines, zero impact on the environment and innovation in production techniques.
Bodem means "soil" in Dutch and symbolises the origin of this winery with Dutch roots. After more than 25 years working and living for Spanish wine, the Geirnaerdt-van Ekeris family found in Cariñena the place to which they felt deeply attached.
Cariñena is the great unknown beyond Spanish borders; the forgotten cradle and birthplace of the Garnacha grape, where the variety has been cultivated since before the 3rd century BC.
Bodem is committed to the Garnacha grape; with the personalisation of the wine by parcels, with the selection of the best grapes at harvest time and combines traditional methods with more advanced ones, such as the biodynamic ovoid polyethylene tanks, which allow a different type of ageing to that carried out in wood. In addition, its Zero Impact project consists of reducing the actions that have a negative impact on the environment as a result of the work in the winery.
