After a trajectory of more than twenty years that has made it one of the most prestigious wineries in the D.O.Ca. Rioja, Bodegas RODA began research throughout Spain in search of the best lands for growing Tempranillo outside La Rioja.
The region that showed the best suitability according to the criteria used was Ribera del Duero and within this D.O.; the area of La Horra in the province of Burgos. This was the place chosen so that, in April 2009, Bodegas LA HORRA was born with its wines CORIMBO and CORIMBO I, wines with character, pleasant and elegant that are placed at the top among the wines of this Denomination of Origin and begin to settle among the best wines in the world.
The area of La Horra was chosen for its old vineyards, for the potential and complexity of its Tempranillo grapes, as well as for being a cool area of the D.O., a necessary condition to produce the style of wine that characterizes Bodegas RODA. This is an area with a long tradition of vine growing, dating back to pre-Roman times, and with enormous prestige today.
