The expansion of Almansa to the whole world

Bodegas Atalaya is the project of the Juan Gil Bodegas Familiares group in Almansa, in which it participates together with the López family from El Pilar de la Horadada.

In 2007, the Gil family made a commitment to Almansa with the aim of making this little-known appellation of origin known to the general public.

This winery is located in an area that maintains the influence of the continental climate due to its location in the province of Albacete.

Since the arrival of the Gil family, progress has been made in the facilities and research has been carried out with the Garnacha tintorera and Monastrell varieties, until the current range of products that reflect the character and personality of the land has been created.

In this winery we can find mainly limestone soils and at an altitude above sea level that ranges between 700 and 1,100 metres above sea level.

The vineyards of this property are between 35 and 50 years old and in all of them, the quality of the grapes is carefully controlled by controlling the yield of the vines.
