Authentic Jamaican Rum
The Appleton Estate Rum Distillery was established in 1749 and is the oldest distillery in Jamaica. Located in the beautiful Nassau Valley, with a special microclimate where different varieties of sugar cane are grown. These two factors, together with the use of its own spring water, are reflected in the character of Appleton's Jamaican rum. Fermentation is carried out using their own yeast grown at the Appleton distillery. It is aged in American oak barrels in which bourbon whiskey has been rested. After blending, it rests in the cellar for a further period of time.
