Absolut is a 40.0 % alc./vol. Swedish vodka, obtained by a process of distillation of wheat grain alcohol called rectification.

It began to be produced in 1879 in the Swedish town of Åhus by Lars Olson Smith, under the name Absolut Rent Bränvin (absolutely pure vodka), beginning to be exported outside its borders in 1979, becoming one of the most consumed vodkas in the world, especially in the United States, thanks to outstanding marketing campaigns.

Absolut Vodka is made exclusively from natural ingredients and, unlike many other vodkas, contains no added sugar. Absolut is, in fact, as pure as vodka can be. Still, purity has a taste: rich, full-bodied and complex, yet smooth and ripe with the distinctive character of wheat grain, followed by a hint of dried fruit.
