Description of Whisky Macallan 12 Years Triple Cask Matured

Macallan 12 years Triple Cask is the result of a complex combination of 3 types of barrels: American oak aged in sherry, European oak aged in sherry and American oak aged in bourbon. Triple Cask uses a large percentage of sherry-aged barrels, which gives it nuances and flavours that are difficult to find in other single malts. The use of bourbon-cured American oak barrels provides slightly drier aromas and flavours.
