Viñas del Vero

Viñas del Vero owes its name to a river in the Somontano region, the Vero River, famous for its ravines, gorges and canyons.

With vineyards of the traditional varieties of the region (Tempranillo, Moristel, Garnacha and Macabeo), together with others of different origins (Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir) they produce wines that entered the market in 1990.

Currently, Viñas de Vero is the leading winery in the Somontano appellation in terms of production volume and quality.

Look

Bright yellow color with high brightness.

Smell

Its aroma is of great expressiveness, quick coming out of the cup and offering an amalgam of aromas of different types, like white flowers, citrus peel, aniseed and even minerals that make it elegant and complex.

Notas del Viñedo

The payment "Los Olivos" is characterized by having a deep, unberficly and large drainage soil with enough thick elements. With detritious origin of Holocene, Calcisols and Half fluvisions by limestone concentration, river terraces, is located at an altitude of 405 meters above sea level with east-west10 ° orientation avoiding direct insoliations in cluster but good leaf exhibitions.

Making notes

Given the proximity of the payment "The olive trees" to the winery, the vintage, performed manually, is constantly transported in small boxes, due to the delicacy of the skin of the Berries of Riesling. Immediately afterwards, the clusters are descarled and the vintage is cooled to 8 ° C to perform the maceration of the must and their skins for a few hours. The fun flower is drained by gravity slowly, and is left at rest for 24 hours to be cleaned naturally. Then, there is a transject of the clean part to the fermentation tank that lasts 9 days. Once the wine is obtained, it remains in a deposit for 5 months on its own lees, before being filtered and bottled.
