Pale yellow with bright reflections.

Smell

Very expressive, citrus - orange and tangerine peel - loquat, peach syrup. Orange blossom on a subtle background of honey and herbs, rosemary and thyme, mint.

Taste

friendly entrance, slightly large presence of fruit. Final refreshing that balances the sweetness and invites another sip.

  Gramona's Vi de Glass are the pioneers in Spain of sweet wines made with frozen grapes. Naturally we find this tradition in Germany and of course in Canada, the world's largest producer of this category for obvious reasons. At Gramona, after 20 years researching and developing this category, they have designed their own system to freeze the ripe grapes and obtain the juice that will slowly ferment for almost 3 months, to obtain wines of fantastic concentration and balance between sugars and acidity. Vi de Glass de Riesling offers a very expressive nose, full of citrus fruits in different flavours, with notes of orange blossom and clementine, but also surprisingly balsamic and herbal, reminiscent of mountain herbs. Its refreshing acidity is surprising, making it a perfect companion for desserts with fruit and custard, but also, of course, for cheeses and foie gras.

Based on the meticulous observation and treatment of factors that influence our land and in its habitat. We do not apply herbicides or chemical pesticides, we use natural resources with the main objective of preserving the balance of the environment and maintaining spontaneous vegetable covers to get fluffy floors.

Making notes

GRAMONA VI de Glass was born in 1997. It is elaborated with a new prototype powered by two freezing chambers that work at -15ºC with the help of liquid nitrogen. This improves the freezing of grapes, achieving more speed and homogeneity in the process. The must remains fermenting in the stainless steel tank for 2 and a half months. This fermentation takes more time than usual, by the high concentration of sugars.
