Description of Tokaji Oremus Mandolas
Tokaji Oremus Mandolas is one of the winery's dry white wines. Mandolas is named after the vineyard from which it comes, planted entirely with the queen of the local varieties,
Furmint.
The must ferments in traditional
136-litre local barrels, where it acquires structure and elegance. The variety is the backbone of the wine, with good acidity and minerality from the area's unique soils.
Fermented to dryness, this furmint is one of the best examples of a
Hungarian dry white, and for almost 20 vintages it has also demonstrated its ageing ability, balance and tension, and great versatility for pairing with gastronomy. A perfect wine to harmonise with grilled white fish dishes, roast poultry or intense cold meats.
