The Winery
Señorio de San Vicente
Señorío de San Vicente is located in the Rioja municipality of San Vicente de la Sonsierra, cradle of great wines. It all begins in a vineyard with an exceptional location, La Canoca, with an almost extinct native variety, the hairy Tempranillo, with special conditions to give birth to a complex and long-lived wine. The result is a Rioja with a capital Rioja that takes its name from the winery.

Description of San Vicente
Señorio de San Vicente is the small winery of the Eguren family used only to produce their icon wine San Vicente. A special wine that comes only from the 18-hectare La Canoca Estate, located in the surroundings of San Vicente de la Sonsierra. Clay-limestone soil. High planting density and low production per hectare, planted in 1985. San Vicente is nourished only by the almost extinct hairy Tempranillo, a variety that gives it a unique personality. The family treats all the elaboration with the maximum care, destemming, malolactic in wood and finally 20 months of aging in new French oak barrels (90%) and American oak. A special wine for special moments, elegant and complex, perfect for the great classic recipes of stews and game, and of course the best pieces of grilled red meat.Ideal pairing
