  The rums with which the Appleton rum Extra 12 years Blend is made are selected by hand, and have been aged for a minimum of 12 years in American oak barrels. Light mahogany color with golden edges. Aromas of oak, nuts, nutmeg, orange peel and vanilla. In the mouth it is smooth and robust with fruity notes, cocoa, orange peel, brown vanilla and a hint of toasted almonds.
