Elaboración Orube CrianzaMaking notes Orube Crianza

Notas del Viñedo

This territory has 13,000 hectares of vineyards of the 63,500 controlled by Regulatory Council of the Rioja qualified origin denomination. It is located in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, accommodating at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria, specifically on the road of the Hoya, where the soil is clay-calcareous.

Making notes

Ring of 12 months in French and American oak barrel. Subsequent permanence in bottle.

Climatología

The 2016 vintage was characterized by a rainy winter but however for a intensely dried spring and summer. Thanks to winter water reserves the vineyards maintained good conditions of vegetable mass. The mature process was slow due to the water stress suffered during the summer season and a parallel maturation was favored between the content of sugar and phenolic maturity, with a decline of important acidity due to the intense heat of the month of September.
