Description of Orben

Orben is the most modern project in Izadi. From Villabuena to Laguardia the winery has 74 micro-plots planted between 1945 and 1954. The mentality in the project is to work with the minimum intervention in the vineyard, low yields, manual harvesting, and quite traditional elaborations. The aging process in barrels lasts 12 months with French oak barrels 50% new and 50% used. The result is a very balanced wine, with a lush nose of red fruits in season and balsamic notes, licorice and many notes of toast and spices. Fantastic with hearty dishes and grilled red meats.
