The Winery

Frontonio

Bodegas Frontonio is a small project in the Valdejalón area led by Fernando Mora (Master of Wine). They elaborate in their winery/cave in Alpartir a wide range of vinifications trying to faithfully capture the unique style of their estates, and putting in value the autochthonous varieties such as the red Garnacha and the Macabeo with wines now present in more than 30 countries.

Lemon and grapefruit, with hints of minerals (phosphorus) and spices (white pepper) and aromas austere smoked.

Taste

Palate concentrated in harmony with fresh acidity, medium body, elegant structure.

Microcosmic Macabeo is a single-variety white wine made with Macabeo grapes by Wineries Frontonio, led by Fernando Mora, Master of Wine. The vineyard located in Épila (Zaragoza) in which the Macabeo grape grows has vines with more than 35 years old, and chalky-clay soils. It is aged on lees in cement deposits for about 6 months, and finally 10% of the total wine is aged in used oak barrels. It is a concentrated, complex and fresh wine. Very tasty and long.
