Description of Maruxa Mencía
Galir produces Maruxa Mencia 2018, a red wine with a selection of Mencia from the 2018 vintage. Despite being a brand traditionally associated with Rioja wine, CVNE also produces a single-varietal red wine on the borders of D. O. Valdeorras In the D. O. Valdeorras, land par excellence of godello's whites, red mencía grapes continue to gain positions. This is demonstrated by the launch of new references such as Maruxa Mencia 2018, a young wine, not aged in wood, an example of maximum varietal purity. The winery says that this Maruxa Mencia is probably the best vintage of the last decade. It is a young red wine very faithful to the essence of Valdorras, with aromas of fresh red fruits and mineral notes, and a wide, fresh and enveloping passage through the palate.
