The Winery
Marqués de Riscal
Marqués de Riscal is one of the original Rioja wineries. It has been making classic Riojas since 1858, but it has also been able to adapt to the avant-garde and, above all, to produce wines capable of transcending the passage of time. Today it controls more than 1500 hectares of vineyards in Rioja and owns the largest vineyard in Rueda with more than 200 hectares.

Description of Marques De Riscal Verdejo Organic
For the production of this single varietal Verdejo, a slow harvest was carried out, taking advantage of the dry weather and the total absence of rain to favour a slow ripening of the grapes. Bright straw yellow colour. As it corresponds to the Verdejo grape, the bouquet has high aromatic intensity, with aromas of tropical fruits as well as notes of fennel and fresh herbs. On the palate it is both refreshing and unctuous with slightly bitter finish which is typical of the variety, resulting in a long and pleasant drink. Overall it is a fresh and balanced wine.
