Description of Malleolus
Emilio Moro Wineries dates back to 1932 as a project of three generations rooted in the
Ribera del Duero and dedicated to discovering the characteristics of its terroir to transmit them in wines with personality.
The Moro family delves deep into the heart of the Ribera del Duero terroir. The identification with the territory marks their personality and allows them to produce wines with balsamic notes, aromatic wood and soul.
The word "
Malleolus" comes from Latin and means "
majuelo", which is the name given to the vineyards in Pesquera de Duero. The birth of
Malleolus means that the wines of
Emilio Moro Wineries begin to stand out for having their own identity.
Cultivated with grapes from old vines grown in goblet and trellised vineyards, this wine is a turning point in the history of the winery.
It is made with 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) grapes. This wine has spent 18 days macerating with the skins. It undergoes malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks and is then aged in French oak barrels until it is bottled.
