The Winery
Lustau
Cathedral-like wineries, with high ceilings, thick walls, large windows and immaculate terracotta floors that maintain a stable temperature and humidity to favour the special microclimate that Jerez wines need.
Lustau is the only winery that makes wines in the three cities of the Marco: Jerez de la Frontera, El Puerto de Santa María and Sanlúcar de Barrameda.
The vineyards receive around 3,000 hours of sunshine each year, accompanied by relatively high rainfall (600 litres per square metre on average per year). The landscape of the area is mostly made up of hills of very white limestone soil, known as "albariza". Its uniqueness is due to the fact that this area was under the sea thousands of years ago.
All this together with a great team of master coopers, master blenders, oenologists and field team add to its 120 years of experience a unique know-how in the area.

Description of Lustau Manzanilla Papirusa
Lustau Manzanilla Papirusa is a generous wine produced by Bodegas Lustau in Jerez de la Frontera, D. O. Jerez-Xerés -Sherry. Aged under a veil of flor in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, in a humid microclimate and with the sea breeze from the mouth of the Guadalquivir River. Bright yellow color with golden reflections. Aromas of chamomile, sea breeze and green apple, with hints of hay and fennel. Completely dry, it is light, fresh and sharp on the palate. Papirusa, which means beautiful and elegant, was the name of the doll that Emilio Lustau gave to the daughter of Joaquín Burgos, the first manager of Bodegas Lustau in the 1940s.Ideal pairing
