Descripción de La Senda Moradas De San MartinDescription of La Senda Moradas De San Martin

La Senda de las Moradas de San Martin is a single-variety red wine made with Garnacha grapes created by the Las Moradas de San Martin winery, which seeks above all to recover the essence of the Garnacha grape in the Madrid Denomination of Origin. La Senda is aged for 10 months in barrels of different years and capacities depending on what is needed. It is not clear if it is American oak or French oak- La Senda has a style of a red wine with aging, elegant and silky. It can perfectly be paired with red meats, stews and semi-cured cheeses.

Notas del Viñedo

Parcels Corroirs, the road, Boquerón, La Cabar and Poniente. Ecological and biodynamic. Single selection of tennake, plot of more than a hundred years that covers an area of 3.25 hectares. Located on a high mountain plateau, on the Ladera Madrid of the Sierra de Gredos with large northwest winds. At almost 900m altitude in granutic soils of sand and rock, with a slightly acid pH.

Making notes

Night and manual vintage, in boxes and with later selection at a table. Descarrowing and prior maceration. Fermentation with its own yeast and soft tracends. Malolactic in deposit, without adding bacteria. 10-month aging in French oak barrel of different uses and sizes, depending on each plot. Deposit assembly to bottling.

Climatología

The harvest of 2016 in San Martín de Valdeiglesias was marked by a very warm autumn, a normal winter and a very rainy and fresh spring, who delayed the cycle. The summer began normal, but, entered August and September, it was extremely the heat that, together with the lack of rain, ended up overtaking the vintage at a rate never seen.l
