CVNE

Compañia Vitivinicola del Norte de España was founded in 1879 in the Haro station district. With more than 500 hectares of its own vineyards in the Rioja Alta and Alavesa subzones and pioneers in many areas of Rioja wine. Commercial brands such as Viña Real, Imperial or Monopole are hidden under the CVNE umbrella.

Garnet color with high layer and bluish reminiscences in the meniscus.

Smell

Interesting nose with aromas of wild berries and licorice, assembled with the aromas from aging in oak barrels as toffees, leaf pure and underbrush.

Taste

The palate is a wine with a marked step for its depth and velvety tannins that gives it the elegance that is always present in this wine. The aftertaste is long and complex.

Produced by the prestigious Rioja winery CVNE, Imperial Reserva is a red wine made with Tempranillo, Graciano, Mazuelo and Garnacha grapes from the best vineyards in Villalba, Briones and Torremontalbo. It remains for 2 years in French and American oak barrels, and before its release, it is aged for another two years in bottle. Imperial Reserva is only produced in exceptional vintages and is obtained by hand selection of the most special grapes from the vineyard. We highlight its elegance and spicy notes, derived from its aging.

Making notes

From our best vineyards over 40 years old located in the areas of Villalba, Briones and Torremontalbo we make a selection of the grape in the field. After rigorous maturing controls, the vintage manual begins in boxes of 20 kg.The grape arrives at the cellar and is introduced into a refrigeration camera for 24 hours. After a process of selection on tape, the grape passes by gravity to French oak tubs, where it will perform the alcoholic fermentation.Please bearse a 2-year aging in French and American oak barrels, ending the process with an aging in bottle of 2 years In our centennial devils, until your departure to the market.
