Situated in San Vicente, in the heart of the Rioja Alta region
San Vicente de la Sonsierra is in a privileged location for the cultivation of vines. A region located under the Cantabria and Toloño mountains, which protect it from the cold Cantabrian winds, and with the Ebro river to the south to provide the humidity it needs.
This region is home to the best old Tempranillo vineyards in La Rioja Alta. These are goblet-trained vineyards grown in very poor soils, which significantly reduces their production and increases the quality of the clusters.
Bodega Hacienda López de Haro has a network of trusted small vine growers. The quality of its vineyards, the love for our land and the feeling of belonging to a common project.
Tasting notes
Look
Cherry red with brick tones on the rim and high layer. Lively and bright, with no major signs of progress despite its long aging in oak barrels.
Smell
High intensity and complexity, notes of cocoa and spices from the barrel are assembled with more primary aromas of black fruits to give a pleasant and harmonious feeling.
Taste
With a great structure, structured by tannins from grape and barrel, shows a strong character, but simultaneously elegant and fleshy. He says farewell with a final envelope and complex, the result of evolution over time and the high quality of its grapes.
