Look

Intense cherry red, upper middle layer. Clean and bright.

Smell

Aroma very intense, fine, elegant, with a background of red fruits, plum, cherry. Mineral notes, spices, coffee, toast, vanilla, pastry, egg yolk, merengue.

Taste

powerful input, fat and bulky with a palate very balanced and concentrated, very bright, good acidity. Final long mouth wide, silky, with very round tannins and conjoined.

Description of Fagus

Fagus is a red wine produced by the winery Coto de hayas made from a selection of Grenache from different rural estates, harvested from vineyards with 50 years old. It has an aging of 10 months in new French oak barrels, which give it tasty, meaty and perfectly balanced flavors. It is one of the best red wines of Bodegas Aragonesas: long, wide and silky. We recommend pairing it with game meat, lamb or sheep milk cheeses.

Elaborated from a selection of Grenachas of different payments from the last three vintages. Vineyards of 40-50 years old.

Making notes

As of the first week of October. Traditional. Fermenting at 28ºC with temperature control. A maceration is carried out with the boles over 2 weeks. Aging of 10 months in French oak barrel
