Look

Intense red-cherry color, clean and bright.

Smell

High intensity, complex aromas of red and black fruit with very original mineral tones and with much expression. Smoky tones and spices light background, provided by the barrel. Well assembled, where spicy aromas and fruit of the Grenache fine intermingle with notes of cocoa, coffee and toast.

Taste

The entrance is soft, broad, fleshy, with lots of volume and surround. Marked balance of oak tannin, acidity and alcohol, very well assembled and broad and long aftertaste, which reappear retronasally spicy, fruity and hints of cocoa and coffee.

Coto de hayas Viñas del Cierzo is one of the best wines produced by Wineries Aragonesas with DO Campo de Borja. In recent years, Viñas del Cierzo has won great prizes such as the gold medal in 2018 during the Grenaches du Monde competition or the gold also won in 2017 in the International Bacchus competition. It is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mazuelo, from a selection of the best vineyards that the winery holds and aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. A great ally for roasts, game meats and sausages.

Making notes

Elaborated by the traditional method. Fermented between 28º - 30ºC with temperature control. A maceration is carried out with the boles for 14 days. After the alcoholic fermentation, the malolactural fermentation was carried out in deposit and once completed, the varieties is completed before its entry into a barrel. Parenting in French oak barrel for 12 months, finally going to the bottle to finish his aging before his marketing.
