Description of Cair

Cair, from Dominio del Cair wineries presents us this red wine crianza wine belonging to the D. O. Ribera del Duero , it provides more modern, fruity and rounded touch. The winery every year open new French and American oak barrels, where they also carry out the malolactic process.

120 hectares between own and controlled vineyard, between 40 and 50 years of age, on clay-calcareous, sandy and burdensome soil. Located in the terms of the Aguilera, Quintana del Pidio and Roa Moradillo, between 820 and 950 meters of altitude.

Making notes

Submitted grapes in small plastic boxes. Selection of grapes in double table: First we are manually and subsequently grains. Malolactic fermentation in new barrels. 14-month aging in new barrels (50% French oak and 50% American oak). After the aging remains a minimum of 12 months in the bottle.
