Description of Amaren Graciano
Amaren Graciano, from Bodegas Luis Cañas is a single-variety red wine with D. O. Rioja made with the variety of Graciano. The Amaren (Madre) winery was inaugurated to commemorate the wife of Luis Cañas and mother/grandmother of his heirs, who continue at the foot of the winery, making wines of an increasingly excellent size. The grapes come from vineyards of more than 60 years age planted on terraces and slopes protected by the Sierra Cantabria and the plots have poor soils, with a low yield that ensures a high quality per vine.
