Description of Almirez
Almirez 2017 of the Eguren Family in Toro, synthesizes everything that tinta de toro grape represents and the area it comes from. Concentration of fruit, light smoky notes, and the 2017 vintage with a very early harvest also achieves a very complicated balance between ripe and fresh fruit not often seen in Toro.
Traditional vinification, treading, pumping over and fermentation at controlled temperature and subsequent aging of 14 months with 70% new French oak wood and 30% of a use. A wine that is in an exceptional moment and has the capacity to be kept in the cellar. Perfect for lacquered or highly seasoned BBQ meats.
