  Las Moradas de San Martín Winery produces this Albillo Real las Moradas de San Martín 2019, a white wine from D. O. Madrid. Las Moradas has been one of the pioneering wineries in showing the potential of the Garnacha grapes from the San Martín de Valdeiglesias subzone. This is their first white wine made with the Albillo Real variety. The Albillo 2019 was harvested at the end of August with very low yields due to frost, but with very good ripening. This resulted in very round and aromatic wines.

Notas del Viñedo

The handkerchief, "El Andrinoso" and "the passages", vineyards planted in the 1930s and 40. Ecological and biodynamic viticulture. Single selection located on a high mountain plateau on the hillside of Madrileñada the Sierra de Gredos with large northwest winds. Almost 900m altitude in granutic soils of sand and rock, with a slightly acid pH.

Making notes

It is done separately by plots. The entire clusters are pressed and concealed until the fermentation with the yeasts of the grape itself starts naturally, for three weeks. Subsequently, a 6-month aging is carried out in 300 and 500-liter capacity-of-liters used, where Batônages on a full moon are performed. 30% was elaborated without sulfites making the malolactic, contributing to the wine greater creaminess. After the cold of winter, necessary for natural cleaning, it is bottled without filtering or clarifying.

Climatología

The harvest of 2018 came marked by a very warm and dry autumn and a very cold and long winter of intense rains and snowfall, which virtually nullified spring. A year marked by two very important Granizadas that, strangely, but thanks to the wind, they did not produce diseases despite the breaks and rains.
